Intake and deadlines for California immigration firms.

VoxCross answers in English and Spanish, qualifies by case type, and tracks the dates on every notice, with California’s recording rules built into the script.

Built for the work

What a California firm actually hands over.

California firms field a high volume of Spanish-language inquiries and a caseload that spans family petitions, asylum, removal defense and naturalization. The bottleneck is rarely demand. It is that the same three people answer the phone, chase documents and watch deadlines.

VoxCross takes the repeatable half of that work: qualifying inquiries, booking consults, reading notices onto the calendar, answering status calls and finding past clients who became eligible for their next filing.

The four engines run the same way everywhere: Front Desk for new inquiries, Case Watch for notices and deadlines, Client Care for status calls and documents, and Revenue for past clients and balances.

California specifics

Three things we set up differently here.

Call recording · all-party consent

California Penal Code § 632

California requires the consent of every party to record a confidential conversation, so the agent states clearly at the start of each call that it is being recorded and gives the caller the chance to decline. If a caller says no, the call continues without recording and only the written summary is kept.

Confirm the current rule with your own counsel before go-live. We configure the disclosure your firm approves.

Hearings & notices

Dates off the paper, onto the calendar

California cases are heard in immigration courts including Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Diego and the detention courts. Interview and hearing notices are read the day they arrive and calendared with reminders for the attorney and the client.

Find any court with the EOIR court locator.

Day to day

Where firms here feel it first

California firms working with clients across the state get consult reminders and document requests in the client’s language, which cuts the no-shows that come from a client simply not understanding the notice they received.

Setup is the same everywhere: line live in 24 hours, full system within 30 days.

The system is identical. Only the recording rule and the courts change.

FAQ

California questions

How does VoxCross handle California’s recording law?

California is an all-party consent state, so the agent discloses the recording at the start of every call and honors a caller who declines. Your firm approves the exact wording before go-live.

Does it work with a firm that already has a receptionist?

Yes. Most firms forward overflow and after-office-hours calls first, then expand once they see the summaries. Your receptionist stops losing the second and third simultaneous call.

Which case types can it qualify?

The ones you tell it to take. Family petitions, adjustment of status, asylum, removal defense, naturalization, DACA, TPS and U visas are all configured with your own questions and your own referral rules for what you do not take.

Book a demo

Thirty minutes. You call the line yourself.

On the demo we set the system up with your firm’s name, you call it from your own phone, and you watch the summary, the calendar entry and the prep brief arrive. If it isn’t obviously useful in the first five minutes, we hang up.

  • Live line configured with your firm’s name before the call
  • We check your case software and calendar on the call
  • No pitch deck. You see the system work.
